Who you're letting on your roof

Three crews, all of them ours, working the same six towns since 2009.

How we got here

Trueline started in 2009 with one truck, at the bottom of a housing market, because that turned out to be the only year you could hire good roofers in DuPage County.

Before that, Ray Kessler spent eleven years as a foreman for one of the big storm-chasing outfits that show up after hail and are gone by the next season. He left because he was tired of selling roofs that didn't need replacing to people who couldn't tell.

So the rule here is the one he wanted then: we tell you what we found, we put the price in writing before anything comes off, and if your roof has five good years left we say so and leave. Seventeen years later most of our work still comes from somebody's neighbor.

How we work

Same crew, same standard, every house

We'd rather be a fortnight out than rush a roof. That means we're sometimes booked into next month, and it means the house we finish on a Friday looks like the house we finished in March.

We don't knock on doors after a hailstorm. We don't quote a price that expires when the salesman leaves your kitchen. And we don't put a crew on your roof without something in writing that you've actually read.
